Mellberg
In Camilla’s first synopsis for The Ice Princess, Detective Inspector Mellberg was described thus: “Particularly unpleasant and incompetent. Notwithstanding this, he regards himself as God’s gift to mankind, women and the police. Comes from Göteborg after having worked there for many years, but following accusations of misconduct, which could not be proved, he was transferred to Fjällbacka. His most distinguishing feature is the long hair that he’s wound into a crow’s nest on the top of his head to disguise, or so he thinks, his rather generous centre parting.”
Mellberg would, however, describe himself thus:
